this is sadly delayed! i'm finally going to put pictures up from the mission trip i went on with our church youth group in june!
we went to st. louis and worked with new city fellowship in reaching out to those that live in the inner city. i learned so much about loving "the orphan and the widow". many people that we loved on (unprivileged children, muslim women learning to speak english, those in a government-funded retirement/nursing home, the dangerous neighborhoods, etc.) do not experience much care/security/love/protection besides that of this church and their mission. it was such an eye-opening trip. here are some pictures of our youth and of the kids we loved on all week!
